LubriMax™ DF-20 Defoamer Fluid
LubriMax™ DF-20 Defoamer Fluid is a 100% active, low-viscosity polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS) silicone fluid designed to provide effective foam control and air release in compatible industrial oil and non-aqueous systems. Its 20 cSt nominal viscosity provides an excellent balance between rapid spreading and persistence, making DF-20 well suited for applications requiring reliable foam knockdown with greater staying power than ultra-low-viscosity silicone fluids.
DF-20 features low surface tension and excellent spreading characteristics, allowing the silicone fluid to rapidly migrate across foam films and help destabilize persistent surface foam. The 20 cSt PDMS fluid has a typical specific gravity of 0.949, closed-cup flash point of 246°C (474°F), pour point of −84°C (−119°F), and surface tension of approximately 20.6 mN/m at 25°C.
DF-20 can be used at relatively low treatment levels and is particularly suited for lubricants, hydraulic fluids, compressor oils, gear oils, metalworking oils, hydrocarbon processing, and other industrial oil-based systems where excessive foam or entrained air can interfere with equipment operation or process efficiency.
